METAR data availability impacted
Resolved - The initial fix has held from our upstream customer. We will post more updates to this event after it is resolved indicating our timeline to fill in the missed observations.

Monitoring - Full flow of METAR data has recovered as of 9z. A gap in our provisional archive will be present due to the lack of backfilling from the real time feed.

Identified - Synoptic is not receiving METAR from our NWS source at this time. Once the upstream source resolves, we will resolve without delay. We will monitor and update as we can. Refer to our availability application for the ASOS/AWOS network for more details.

Resolved - The incident has been resolved. The outage last from 2026-09-14 17:51:19 UTC until 2026-09-14 18:18:10 UTC. During this time our upstream source was offline, this has since been stable and sharing observations since.

Monitoring - Feed has been restored. Outage lasted approximately 25 minutes. Cause was upstream of Synoptic from the National Weather Service. We will continue to post here if any further issues occur.
